“God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7). As coronavirus has been sweeping throughout the world, we understand the concern that is out there. We don’t want to panic and we don’t want to pretend nothing is happening. We want to wisely care for each other, especially those most vulnerable to this and other similar health concerns. We are taking some specific steps to do this, as we continue our regular ministries and services.
New hand sanitation stations
New viral disinfectants in use by custodians
Postponing Communion until we can enact safe procedures
We encourage you to exercise wisdom yourself, and we understand you may choose to not participate in everything as normal-- services, greetings, communion, etc.
As Christians, our hope lies in Jesus. We pray that you will be encouraged by the message from Matthew this Sunday when Jesus calms the fears of his disciples by saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” (Matt. 14:27)
Please keep praying, and please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns.
